every season i’m more eager to pull out the white pants earlier and earlier. after this past winter in the city, anything that even hinted at spring or summer was a godsend - as soon as it hits 60, i give them the green, err rather, white light.
also have been pumped to pull out these new meermin brogues. i’ve been a meermin fan for about a year and own four pairs -  at their price point, they’re great shoes for stomping, drinking, dancing, admiring and drinking.

this post, this style, these shoes certainly are not for everyone. in fact, i’m not even sure they’re completely for me, but something about them sort of grabbed me. they’re loud, their flamboyant, they’re ridiculous - but they’re unique and they’ll be fun to wear, rarely. occasionally, i feel so many people have really extracted the fun out of getting dressed.

it seems they’re two major sides of this spectrum: those who truthfully do not care what they’re wearing; to whom comfort is first priority and price shortly behind and conversely, those two care far too much and end up judging others so heavily on their stylistic choices. Both of which, i am guilty of from time to time.

i know this may sound very preachy, but: if you think something might be fun to wear - give it a shot. this blog has never been about encouraging duplication, nor devout originality. i simply hope it makes you think outside the box a bit, or pulls you back down to earth.

recently, i’ve been really appreciative of the connection that the denim & supply crew and myself have formed. they’re incredibly generous and genuine - subsequently i’ve been wearing more and more of their clothing. the line has really taken off in a nice direction and found it’s aesthetic. something of a cross between it’s ralph lauren roots and a heavy modern influence. tastefully distressed & currently comfortable.

Dillon Burke of Thread & Salt. Long time follower of his, love his minimal approach with strong details.

It was incredibly hard to pick which work from The Locker Rocker to post, but I settled on the above perfection because 1. I lovingly call the babe featured a dear friend and 2. the rendering of that backpack is too good to miss.
I have no idea who is behind this fairly new menswear blog, but it’s simple concept and perfect execution is worth the full archive scan I just unabashedly participated in. The details in this person’s work are so well thought out, and so well edited, I would love to know if he or she is working a day job as a designer and/or illustrator… because duh.
