Ernest Alexander Journal: #FOLLOWFRIDAY | THREAD & SALT

ernestalexander:

Believe it or not, we actually click on EVERY new follower we get just to see their interests our fans have. While a majority of Tumblr blogs these days are built around “curation”, we decided that in order to truly convey a brand, we just can’t post things that we like or inspire us -…

Completely honored to be included over on Ernest Alexander, appreciate the compliments and i cant wait to hit the showroom my next trip to NYC. my #followfriday quickly morphed into #flatteredfriday

thanks again EA!

my buddy Alex Kang makes these killer bracelets - i had enviously seen them bouncing around the internet and finally contacted him about one. found it hidden between junkmail earlier today and it’s lookin’ great.
give your wrist a present this spring and get a few while you can.
thanks again @kangalex

two shirts & a denim jacket with tapered pants and bandana scraps accompanied by fancy shoes and garnished with sunlight.

i’ve really taken a liking to this denim jacket i picked up a few months ago on some crazy levi’s sale. (70% off, come on…)

with all this nonsensical weather we’ve been having this jackets found itself hanging out on my shoulders for a week straight. it’s a nice fit and a perfect layering piece. i was hesitant after my purchase but despite it’s color being identical to most of my pants - it challenges me to distract and separate. i added the bandana scraps as i do with most of my jackets but i think here, it works.

your style isn’t for everyone, it wont be. but it’s yours, so create it and fix it and attempt it and occasionally fail. but have fun. laugh at yourself - sometimes i look fuckin’ ridiculous.

winter whites, winner blues.
took advantage of the sun today despite the temperature. and i rediscovered these pants in my closet surrounded by linen shirts and cotton ties. took a quick glance outside (neighbors got the pantless show, brought to them commercial free via me) and decided to give them an off season go. shot over to the park after a quick errand or two downtown and snapped off a couple shots.
found the pants a few years ago on a j.crew outlet sale rack, $14 if i remember correctly. aces. (haha, aces..) they’re a bit looser around the calf than i am accustom to but i really like the wrinkled look with these, cuts some of the wide taper and donates an interesting texture. i’m not much for folding clothing anyway, i dig wrinkles.
finally got cold, now i’m dressing for the warmth.

place yourself in someones shoes, try to understand, figure it out and rationalize how they’ll feel. but remember that you’re whats ultimately important - then make your decision.
