personal style lookbook spring14:
shot by matt perrone at sandbox studio
styled by dillon burke

this post, this style, these shoes certainly are not for everyone. in fact, i’m not even sure they’re completely for me, but something about them sort of grabbed me. they’re loud, their flamboyant, they’re ridiculous - but they’re unique and they’ll be fun to wear, rarely. occasionally, i feel so many people have really extracted the fun out of getting dressed.

it seems they’re two major sides of this spectrum: those who truthfully do not care what they’re wearing; to whom comfort is first priority and price shortly behind and conversely, those two care far too much and end up judging others so heavily on their stylistic choices. Both of which, i am guilty of from time to time.

i know this may sound very preachy, but: if you think something might be fun to wear - give it a shot. this blog has never been about encouraging duplication, nor devout originality. i simply hope it makes you think outside the box a bit, or pulls you back down to earth.

if you’re looking for a pseudo-pretentious bolded quote, i wrote a few brief paragraphs above.

Hey!
i’m working with Florsheim Shoes again to give you guys the goods. We’re giving away a $200 giftcard to one of you knuckleheads in exchange for a few clicks & some digital love.
Its more than safe to admit I really dig a nice Florsheim kick, i even used 13 pairs of them recently in the Ernest Alexander presentation. They’re sharp, rather inexpensive and overall a quality shoe. I wholeheartedly vouch for them, but you can be the judge after you land this giftcard.
