pets. i wont often post about things divulging into my personal life but i think this is appropriate. after spending the last few (fortunate) days with the pets in my parent’s home it’s safe to say - i’m going through SPDD (severe pet deprivation disorientation)

victoria, benjamin, atticus (tiki), darla, nicholas, darla & tiki.

play with your friend’s pets - even the small yappy dogs..

pork. roll.

one of my favorite culinary aspect of returning home (regardless of the occasion) is a full stocked fridge. the mother is no stranger to mind blowing food (fresh shucked oysters & homemade cornbread bacon stuffing) so it’s not unusual for me to light up when the fridge does. though from pretty early on - i’ve been digging god damn in love with pork roll.

for those of you unfamiliar with porkroll (aka taylor ham) - it’s a new jersey birthed creation. causing pavlov-like sensations all over the tri-state area. believe it or not the vacuum seal packaging managed to get all of the turnpike smell and fistpumps out.

it’s a breakfast meat - a meat, for breakfast. what it lacks in versatility (bacon) it makes up for in taste. but i’m in no way suggestion bacon and porkroll aren’t a delicious civilly unionized taste-bud-climax.

if you can get it - get it.

breakfast dates are cool - all the pleasantries without the pressure. light on the stomach, light on the gentleman’s wallet and heavy on the coffee.
