style. food. cocktails. nyc.

its getting cold, like really cold. its time to meet someone nice, build a nice fire, dance like noones watching etc etc.

my normal denim has been down for the count for a few weeks now, so i picked up another pair from denim & supply. fit is good, comfortable and basic. what more could you ask for?

playing in the snow is fun, playing in the snow with those that dont want to play in the snow is a terrible, terrible, terrible idea.

had been looking for a solid pair of white denim for awhile - i finally found them. i picked them up last week and i cant stop wearing them. great alternative to pantlessness.

simple winter wardrobe.

warmth, ties & penny loafers.

i went on a prompt and precise hunt for a killer gray wool blazer & came home with this sweater. since i’m pursuing the ‘coatless winter’ and layering up with pieces like this cardigan (and a few undershirts) i felt it fell in all-swell-like. A thick sweater can go a long way and this one has all the right details, a great fit and the right color to push me through till the layers shed.

properly prioritize punctuality.

fuck it, falls here.

so, every once in awhile, every once in awhile, i buy things i probably shouldn’t. like this jacket, or three extra drinks. i call it an ‘investment’ but i know what it really was, a splurge. an “i’m truthfully so horribly sick of summer i’m making mistakes financially” type splurge. it’ll last years, and it looks awesome but it was risky and borderline regrettable, live purchase and learn.

try to be smart, live happy & eat right but realize life is as much about physical happiness as it is mental.

I always like to have an original living space, its nice to wake up in something creative. I was looking for something interesting to counteract my lack of closer space, this seemed to make sense. i really like the result now i just have to pick up a couple more racks.

befriend a tailor.

I’ve had these club monaco chinos for a few years, but the vast majority of them they’ve been in the “get tailored” milk crate. i eventually got they completely reworked (tapered & hemmed) by an awesome tailor in rhode island, and they have become one of my go-to summer pants.

lightweight, solid construction and simple color, another winner by club monaco.

 highfive someone today. or tomorrow.

pineapple jacket & banana pants - the fruit suit.

work has been insane lately and i find myself wearing all-black-everything all week. so, i fuse 5 days of borderline outlandish clothing into my day off. project nyc happened to be on that day. where sandbox studio had an awesome pop-up studio that made me look much prettier than i am.

dressing from the shoes up: part II

party up top, business down low.

theres a certain appeal to the jeans & t shirt look. its easy, its comfortable and its - well it’s easy and comfortable. the simplicity and casual vibe of this look leave a surprising amount of room for anything and everything else.

when you cross a guy whose taking this route (assuming it all fits), theres not much hesitation. your eyes don’t spend time inspecting the seams of the t shirt or edge of the denim. but this look caters to the accessories - in my case some nice new shoes & a denim wrist tie.

this is my second pair of Florsheim Veblens and i know they can really take a beating, so i’m wasting no time this summer doing just that. i opted for a slightly different color this time around because i’ve been wanting to try out the versatility of gray shoes.

stay on the look out for a great opportunity from florsheim x me
