I’ve taken a real liking to boots in the past few years and I’m finally pretty happy with where i’m at when nature calls for them. Different styles & looks but all universally willing to get beat up.
Frye Dakota Wedge Boot - Nice, comfortable & clunky. good for a cold clean day, bad for rain & snow. A really great color to contrast on dark denim
Wolverine Courtland 1000 Mile Boot - The newest addition to the pile, still breaking them in. They have a really nice structured silhouette and this affords me the option to wear a pant with a slightly more tapered calf or even wear them to something a little more formal.
Johnston & Murphy est. 1850 Kerrison Boot - Another new addition to the ‘sock protectors’ club. i really was on the fence about these boots before they arrived, the traditional ‘chelsea boot’ look wasn’t something i’d normally spring for but i was really pleasantly surprised after opening the box. They’re slim and tight fitting but have a pretty sturdy feel to them despite their light weight. though i’m still breaking them in, i’m excited for the season to see how they wear.
Red Wing Iron Ranger Boot - These boots are almost two years old, though you would never know it. I treat these as my real “work boots” but i seldom do “workboot requiring work”. Though their treks through the mud & hiking trails have been rather minimal Red Wing really lives up the hype with these. solid construction, soft leather, rugged look. a great pair of boots, i just don’t wear them as much as i should.
